Georgia is a mountainous county. The country is divided into two halves (eastern and western halves) by the Likhi range. The western part was called as Colchis and the eastern part was called as Iberia. The summer season in Georgia is hot and winter season is mild. Heavy rainfall occurs in the subtropical southwest region.
