For studying overseas medical education in Ukraine, foreigners need to issue visa from the Embassy of Ukraine of their respective country. Three types of visa are issued by the Embassy of Ukraine for entering into Ukraine – Transit Visa (Type B), Short-term Visa (Type C) and Long-term Visa (Type D).

For going to any other country through Ukraine, Type B visa are issued to the foreigners. Type C visa are issued to the foreigners for short time stay in Ukraine and it should not exceed 90 days from the date of first entry. Type D visa are issued to the foreigners for the purpose of long stay in Ukraine. Type D visa gives the foreigners the right to stay or reside in Ukraine. Type D visa are issued by the Diplomatic Mission or the Consulate General of Ukraine.
